Instructions:

Put chicken breasts in the crock pot


Add the salsa and taco seasoning mix to the chicken and cover it


On low heat, cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours, or until chicken is soft

For breakfast or dessert, this delectable homemade strawberry pancake syrup is the ideal way to add a burst of fruity flavor. Made with fresh strawberries, it keeps well in the refrigerator for a long time.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions:

In a large pot, mix the chopped strawberries, water, lemon juice, and granulated sugar


Simmer the strawberries over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the strawberries are soft, about 10 to 15 minutes


Puree the mixture in a regular blender or with an immersion blender until it's smooth


Put the pureed mixture back in the pot and simmer it for a further ten to fifteen minutes on low heat, or until the syrup gets thicker

Take it off the heat and allow it to cool a little


After sterilizing the canning jars, fill them with the syrup, leaving a headspace of approximately 1/4 inch


Put the sterile bands and lids on the jars to seal them


To make sure the sealed jars are properly sealed and preserved, process them in a boiling water bath for ten minutes


After taking the jars out of the water bath, place them on a fresh towel or cooling rack to cool


After cooling down, make sure the seals are airtight by checking them


Put the dates on the jars and keep them for up to a year in a dark, cool place

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/4 cup aquafaba liquid from a can of chickpeas

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 tsp lemon extract

  • Yellow food coloring optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 300F 150C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper


In a bowl, sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar


In another bowl, whip the aquafaba with an electric mixer until soft peaks form


Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks form


Fold in the almond flour mixture, lemon extract, and food coloring until the batter is smooth and shiny


Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a round tip


Pipe small rounds onto the prepared baking sheet


Let the macarons sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to form a skin


Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the macarons are set and firm


Remove from the oven and let cool completely before filling

  • 1 tsp dried thyme
